Yesterday marked the exciting kickoff of OT SCADA CON 2025, a dynamic three-day event dedicated to the world of Operational Technology (OT) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Held in Houston, Texas, this Automation Ladies event has brought together an energized community of controls engineers, technicians, sales professionals, business owners, and automation enthusiasts ready to learn, connect, and innovate.

Day One delivered a deep dive into some of the foundational and cutting-edge areas of industrial automation. Our in-depth educational sessions covered: Systems Integration, PLCs Programable Logic Controllers, I/O Types and Field Devices, HMIs, Servo Drives & Controllers, and Machine Safety.

Attendees were engaged, curious, and collaborative. Exactly the kind of spirit OT SCADA CON was designed to foster!

When the sessions wrapped, networking and engagement continued. We relaxed and connected at our networking happy hour, which included some delicious custom-made mocktails (if you didn’t try the OT SCADArade… you missed out!).

Undeniably, one of the best things about Houston is the cuisine, and OT SCADA CON does not disappoint. Some might say you can’t come to Texas without having some barbeque brisket (which we had for lunch!) but actually, you can - we also served yummy halal and vegetarian options! At the end of our day, attendees were treated to a delicious dinner from some of the very best local food trucks (shout out to Boombox Tacos and Umbrella Fellas!). Enjoying a mocktail or cocktail along with a “Houston Burger” or some top-notch tacos was the perfect way to wind down, swap stories, and forge new professional relationships.

With two more days ahead, we’re just getting started! Our attendees can expect more technical deep dives, new product showcases, and the ever-popular karaoke night (even control systems experts need to let loose)!
